I came in as a total newbie and instantly got hooked. This doesn't feel like "just another MMORPG" — the world pulls you in from the very first steps, and the opening cutscene immediately immerses you in the world of Midlas. Leveling feels smooth and natural, with no endless mob grinding: do the story quests, a few side quests, and you're already at a new level with new possibilities.

There are plenty of dungeons, and they're genuinely different — some need a group, some you can solo, but there's always a thrill. Pets are a whole separate love: there are an incredible number of them, and you can synthesize rare mounts or play with evolution to get unique species. The community is alive, too — ask for help and people will actually help you, even if you're brand new.

On top of that: excellent server stability, a responsive and active administration, the classic Icarus atmosphere, good balance, and a genuinely pleasant community.

Недостатки
There's no PvP — and honestly, there probably won't be, since even in PvP zones a single kill turns into drama. Serious downsides? I haven't found any in all my time playing. Like any MMORPG, there are minor bugs now and then, but they get fixed very quickly.

I've been playing on Icarus Phoenix for about 4 years now, and I can honestly say it's one of the best private servers out there. The administration puts in a huge amount of work to keep the online alive and the game interesting. The atmosphere is great, and the server runs like clockwork. It's the only private server that truly resembles the original Riders of Icarus experience. Whether you're a newbie or an Icarus veteran — I highly recommend it.
